Who is Eligible?

Motto Mortgage broker owners and personnel are eligible to participate in the program. Enrollment must be completed by the 10th to have health and ancillary benefits coverage effective the first day of the following month.

How to Apply

How Does the Program Work?

In order for Motto Mortgage broker owners and personnel to participate in this program, you must become an employee of ABO through a staffing agreement.

A portion of the 1099 or all of the W-2 compensation received will be required to be processed through payroll by ABO. Once enrolled into the program, a 1099 participant is required to run a minimum payroll monthly. This minimum payroll will be based on 30 hours per week (or 130 hours per month) at the mandated minimum wage in the area the participant conducts business. In addition, any of the office’s W-2 team members who join this program will become W‐2 employees of ABO through the staffing agreement.

Each participant will process a payroll through ABO the second (2nd) Friday of each month.

Funds will be drawn from the participant’s account by ACH prior to the pay date and will include:

  • Payroll and all associated taxes
  • The expense of the health and any ancillary benefit plans selected
  • Workers’ compensation insurance
  • $89 administrative fee per enrolled member per month
 

Payroll must be processed in order for a Motto Mortgage personnel to participate in the benefits of the program.

ABO will initiate payroll processing for the first designated pay date after the completed enrollment. A detailed invoice will be sent to the Agent at least 5 business days prior to the date that the funds will be withdrawn. Payroll (including payroll‐taxes, benefit costs, workers’ compensation and administrative fees) will be withdrawn directly by ABO via ACH Debit from an account specified in advance by the participant.

You will be invoiced 5 days prior to pay date. Funds will be drawn from your bank account 3 days prior to the pay date. Click here to view the payroll schedule for payroll dates.

FEE FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS
A $200 fee will be charged to a 1099 participant for each occurrence of insufficient funds. Two consecutive occurrences in a rolling 12-month period will result in termination from the program.

Termination

Program participants who either sever their relationship with Motto Mortgage or are terminated from the program are eligible to continue in the program health plan for an additional 18-month period as their termination of employment would be a COBRA qualifying event. In this event, ABO will refer the participant to ABO’s COBRA provider, Dynamic, who will explain the rules regarding continued participation.

Workers’ compensation insurance and any applicable state mandated disability insurance will be provided in accordance with NCCI and state specific rates.
